Taking on the world as a privateer
In 2024 I entered the FIA Karting World Championship in the OK class at PF International — one of the biggest events in the sport, against factory teams and future F1 drivers. I did it as a genuine privateer: my own Kart Republic chassis, a rented TM engine from Machac Motors, my dad as mechanic and our own van.
It meant getting an FIA international licence, taking more than 10 kg off to get near the 150 kg OK weight limit, and finding grip levels I hadn’t felt since racing at Lonato in 2016.
The point was simple: to show that you don’t have to be anything special to race at the top level. The campaign was documented on YouTube and followed on KartPulse, VroomKart and KartSportNews.

The build
The Twin-OK
Two TM OK engines on one chassis, direct drive, 80–85 horsepower and roughly 15 kg more than a normal OK kart. It’s short geared, a handful to start and an absolute weapon once it’s going.
The Twin-OK was featured by Karting1 and became a talking point on KartPulse — and my first-drive video is the most watched thing on the channel with over 11,000 views. I’ve since raced it in the Senior Open class at Woodthorpe.

2027
What’s next
I’m putting together a full 2027 programme in the UK, with the aim of getting back to international competition. How far that goes depends on the partners who come on board.
