I wasn’t going to enter this round but then when I saw it was Dunkeswell I knew I had to throw an entry in. New track to me and a lot of drivers but one that had always intrigued me throughout the years.
It is quite simply an epic track and very beautiful too, situated in a lovely setting. It was back to Dad and lad (and Mum, and new puppy) for this one as the usual Ricard Racing setup were not doing this one off round.
I did a bit of chassis set up with my new Tonykart Extreme chassis but soon settled on my good trusty steed the CRG Daytona Heron, I’d already gone reed too so I spent the practice just honing in my setup, got it completely nailed by the end of the day, watch some onboard below!
There wasn’t a huge entry for this round which was a shame but Drew Stewart and Ross Curnow amanged to give me a good run for my money. I won 2 heats and finished on the line with Ross 0.02 behind him in the other. In the final I got a good start and from there simply cruised home for the win to retain the title!
